  1. Hi,

I'd love to be added to your directory. I don't have fibromyalgia personally but I do specialize in treating fibromyalgia in my private practice. My site aims to give those with Chronic Pain and Fibro resources and tips other than pills and surgeries to relieve their pain.

Thank you for your time! :)

I have added your badge on the top of my blog. My url is www.thefibrodirtdigger.blogspot.com Thanks so much!

  24. Hello fellow "spoonies" and "Fibromites!" - My name is Gerri, I live in Parker, CO and I have been fighting this fight "officially" for 2yrs now....I'm always trying to find new friends who "get it". I started my blog when I was really sick in an effort to #1 keep track of all the Dr appts and things I was doing to find help and #2 to help anyone else who might find themselves in the same boat as I am. I would love to share my fight and story with everyone and anyone who wants to follow me http://findmyhealth.blogspot.com/

  30. Send them to PatientsLikeMe.com Also find some good Fibro sites - there are MANY great ones - , blogs, pages and also Yahoo Answers. As suggest above, do searches as well as research. Buy books or borrow from someone or the Library. OFF TOPIC HOWEVER PLEASE READ - TO DO WITH FIBRO AND WHAT WE GO THROUGH. I went to Doctors for 5 long years being told that I was JUST a stressed out single mom. I FINALLY found a Specialist who diagnosed me. KEEP going until someone believes you!!! NEVER give up. Fibro may not be terminal, however, it causes EXTREME pain and it changes your whole life!! People need to become WAY MORE informed about Fibromyalgia!. Just because we "look ok" on the outside, that we are not in pain. Every single day is different and we NEVER know what kind of day we are going to have. Does anyone actually believe that ALL people with Fibro are scammers, fakers, liars and lazy. FAR from the truth. Do you really think I enjoy NOT being able to do SIMPLE things anymore? No gardening, vacuuming. Things that are ALSO very HARD to do: Dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, housework, cleaning floors, rarely sweep - picking up the dirt is done on my "good days", lifting a roast out of the oven, getting dressed, using a can opener, opening jars, putting on & taking off lids such as Tupperware products (which I LOVE), putting on shoes - must sit down, having a shower - getting in & out and not falling, picking ANYTHING up from the floor, kneeling down & getting back up (very hard & painful!), fatigue, insomnia, sweating, bladder and other problems, needing pillows behind your back on a chair or couch and/or office chair, sometimes getting up from sitting down, walking, walking with a can or other devices, learning how to get into and out of bed, getting comfortable in bed at night - tossing, turning, in pain, being intimate, soiling the bed, soiling yourself (sometimes out in public), depression, memory loss, anxiety and/or panic attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, shaking nerves, mood swings, not being able to do what you used to - and silly easy things too! - getting mad, getting sad, not being able to to things for yourself like before and NOT wanting to ask for help because you don't want people to know OR they don't believe you, OR they pity you, PLUS so much more. Then u think, "Why would any one want to be with me? Look at what I have no choice but to accept, keep getting help, and living with it on my own as it is embarrassing. Your friends also get tired of TRYING to make plans with you and you have to cancel at the last hour more times than not.I apologize for the long rant. Fibromyalgia may not be terminal, however, YOU NEED TO INFORM YOURSELF (and others)! Thank you for letting me vent a little, lol. Best of luck with helping a some what non believer what people like us go though every single day, hour, minute and second of our lives. All THIS is off the top of my head! Hope you and all my Fibro Friends Have A "Good" morning/day/evening/night!!!!! Laura (FibroLady). cheekylittlemoo@blogspot.com
