I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 5 years ago. I cope with the chronic pain by doing Yoga, getting regular massages (it's painful during, but afterwards you get an energy burst and can do normal everyday things for the remainder of the day), using the infrared sauna (once my body temperature rises, I don't feel the pain), going to the Chiropractor (just gives you an energy burst to do normal daily chores), taking hot baths, taking fish oil supplements, etc.... There is so much that I have to do to cope with the severe pain. Unfortunately, the results of treatments done only last for a day or two but those things are vital for me to be able to cope and have an escape. I am thinking of starting my own blog concerning Fibromyalgia because I have certainly found some great ways to cope and feel the need to share with others.

  7. Fibromyalgia message boards are excellent places to seek information online, conduct research or just simply exchange stories with other people who share the disorder.

  8. I cope by getting evidence based treatment thru a functional nueropathist/chiropractor! I see Dr. Claar (www.shenandoahchiropractic.com). I wish more people would realize the benefits of looking to this type of treatment over medicines that don't work.
